Care Haven Autumn Market is a community market that will be taking place 16, 17 and 18 May 2013
at 188 Villiers Road, Walmer, Port Elizabeth!
Care Haven Psychiatric Centre is a Non-Profit Welfare Organisation. We accommodate 70 residents with a history of mental illness ranging from Bipolar mood disorder to various forms of depression and schizophrenia. Other services provided by this organisation include: psychological full time nursing care and Arts & Crafts Centre, where they are taught various skills, which serves to empower them an…d open doors for their future. The residents ages range from 18—54 and we do not discriminate between race, colour or creed. We are also BEE registered. The majority of the residents receive state disability grants. We are therefore dependant on the department of health for monthly subsidies, which we do not receive regularly. Due to financial constraints we will be hosting an autumn craft market to raise funds for the daily running of the centre and to maintain the quality of life of the people whom we serve.

The BSG Energade Triathlon Series moves to Port Elizabeth after taking place in Germiston, Midmar, Vanderbijlpark, Potchefstroom and Roodeplaat.
This three discipline,(swimming (600m), cycling (20km) and running (5km)) seven event Series held in major centres around South Africa is for everyone, from South Africa’s Elite triathletes looking for a tough competitive challenge, to experienced triathletes looking for diverse race conditions and trying to beat a personal best, to first-times seeking an enjoyable way to get fit and have fun with other athletes!
And it’s for the whole family, with the kids series and the opportunity to race as a family team.
BSG and Energade, as a team, have brought this popular triathlon series to South
Africa for the past three years. Continually doing things better and smarter is
what BSG and Energade are all about and this year is no exception with even more
exciting innovations in store. We have enhanced the online experience through
the BSG Multisport portal where improvements have been made to the processes
used for online entries as well as the technology that supports this. The venues
selected for the 2011 BSG Energade Triseries and Kids Series will provide
maximum athlete safety, as they have been chosen based on analysis of water
quality levels and road closure facilities. We have redesigned the race schedule
so there is a separate Elite race, multiple start waves to manage participant
numbers in the swim, and have ensured our Kiddies series is better than ever.
The weather today- Monday 7 November is bright and sunny with an expected high of 26 deg. Some clouds this morning will give way to generally sunny skies for the afternoon. Winds NNE around 16 to 35 kmph.
Unfortunately the prediction for Sunday shows a high of around 21 with a 60% chance of showers and wind speeds of up to 55 kmph. But then again our weather is very fickle and who knows it might just do a turn for the better and greater enjoyment of the athletes!
We wish all contestants well!

We look forward to an action packed day of cricket – we trust that the weather will hold and look forward to seeing our fabulous cricket ground filled to overflowing with supporters.
The only dampener at this stage is that AB de Villiers, captain of the Proteas’ Castle Lager ODI and T20 squads, fractured his left hand while practising with the Royal Challengers Bangalore in India on Wednesday morning.
The Proteas Team Manager has stated that his injury will be assessed as soon as he returns home. Only then will they have an indication of the treatment and rehabilitation required and the length of time that he will be out of action.
As a result of this it is not certain whether or not he will be available for the series against Australia. For now all we can do is wish him a speedy recovery as we would like to see in in action on the 23rd at St. Georges.
